1. Who we are
madeit.social ("Made It Social", "we", "us") is the professional portfolio and content tools of Jermaine Miller, a digital content creator based in Costa Rica. Jermaine Miller is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and the Made It Social application.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to madeit.social and to the Made It Social app, including its integration with Pinterest. Linked external websites have their own policies.

2. Information we collect
We collect only the information you give us, data you authorize from connected platforms, and basic technical data.

We do not ask for sensitive data (health, religion, financial details, etc.). Please do not include it in your messages.
3. Pinterest integration
The Made It Social app uses the Pinterest API to help manage and analyze Pinterest accounts that the account owner authorizes. It accesses Pinterest data only after you sign in with Pinterest and grant permission.
What we access. Depending on the permissions you grant: basic account information (username, profile), boards, Pins, and Pin and account analytics. If you grant write permissions, the app may create or update Pins and boards only when you request it; you choose and approve each individual action, and nothing is published automatically.
How we use it. Only to display your content and performance insights back to you, and to carry out actions you request. We do not use Pinterest data for advertising, profiling, benchmarking, competitor research, or any purpose unrelated to the service, and we never use it to train, fine-tune, or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We do not combine one account's data with data from other accounts.
Sharing. We never sell, rent, or share Pinterest data with third parties, except service providers that process it on our behalf to run the app, or when required by law.
Storage. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to make API requests you authorize. We do not store Pinterest content or account data; the app requests it from the Pinterest API each time it is needed. The only exception is analytics for accounts whose owners have expressly granted access, which are kept only as long as needed for reporting and deleted when access is revoked.
Revoking access. You can disconnect the app at any time from your Pinterest account settings (Security and logins > Apps), or by emailing jermaine@madeit.social. When you disconnect, we stop accessing your data and delete your access token and any retained analytics.
Our use of Pinterest data follows the Pinterest Developer Guidelines.
4. How we use information
We use your information only to:
Respond to work inquiries, collaboration requests, and messages.
Provide the Made It Social app features you request, including Pinterest insights.
Understand how the site is used and improve it (aggregated, anonymous data).
Keep the site and app secure and prevent spam or abuse.
Comply with legal obligations.
Our legal bases are your consent (when you submit the form, connect an account, or accept cookies) and our legitimate interest in operating the site. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not send you marketing without your permission.
5. Cookies
The site uses cookies to work properly and, if you agree, to analyze usage.
Essential: needed to load the site and remember your cookie choice. No consent required.
Analytics: measure visits and navigation in aggregate. Enabled only if you click "Accept".
You can click "Reject" on the cookie banner or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Rejecting them does not prevent you from using the site.

When you click an external link, you leave madeit.social and that service's privacy policy applies.
7. Retention and security
We keep contact messages as long as needed to handle your inquiry or a working relationship, and no longer than 2 years after our last contact, unless the law requires longer. Pinterest data is kept as described in Section 3.
We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token storage, and providers with recognized security standards. No system is 100% secure, but we will notify you of any incident affecting your data as required by law.
8. Your rights
Under Costa Rica's Law 8968 on the Protection of Individuals Regarding the Processing of Personal Data and, where applicable, the EU GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws, you can:
Access the data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Delete your data.
Object to or restrict its use.
Withdraw consent at any time.
Request portability of your data.
Email jermaine@madeit.social to exercise these rights. We will respond within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with Costa Rica's Agency for the Protection of Inhabitants' Data (PRODHAB) or your local authority.
9. Other provisions
International transfers. Some providers, such as Adobe and Pinterest, process data outside Costa Rica, mainly in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards those providers offer.
Children. The site and app are intended for professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
Changes. We may update this policy. The current version will always be posted on this page with its last-updated date.
